I finally launched Sedna at the Ravenglass Seaquest yesterday, a 3hr orienteering event on water. It was the only wood boat out of over 7o entries, and I was very pleased with the great comments made by lots of people on how well the design had worked out.I paddled over 10 miles in the time, not very fast, but enjoying every moment. Sedna will be even better when the skeg is fitted .
She feels a lot different to my other boat; not as manoevrable as there is less rocker, but much straighter tracking, and of course much lighter too.
Needless to say there are now a few scratches on the hull after over 15 launches on various types of rocks, pebbles and....small bushes.
